“I don’t know how you have done this for so long.”

Those were the words I blurted out last night to our former President of Charles County Right to Life, Sid Marcus. With the schedule of my own life bearing down on me on a daily basis, I never know when I will find time to do anything for the innocent babies who die every day. I have felt like there is a huge giant in our midst and I have been tempted to just let it go and do its thing. If people want to destroy themselves and continue to allow abortions and have them, let them, right? I will just focus on my own family because I feel like that’s all I can handle anyway.

Today is a Day of Prayer for the Legal Protection of Pre-born Children. Today is the anniversary of Roe v. Wade. Today, 47 years ago, our country decided it would put innocent human life on the altar of sacrifice. How can I let the abortion giants scare me away from defending that life? How can I back down from this battle? How can I turn the other cheek and let others live their lives the way they want? I can’t do that for the same reason I speak out against any other infraction on the right of a human being to life.

In the readings for today, David isn’t asked to fight for his people. He offers.

Let not any man’s heart be dismayed in him: I thy servant will go and will fight against the Philistine.
~Samuel 17:32

Brothers and sisters, we are in a battle. The abortion giants are doing everything in their power to make sure abortion is enshrined in the Maryland Constitution. Don’t shrink away from the fight. Come to the battle with us. Arm yourselves with knowledge and the strength of God. I hope you will pick up your five stones as David did and rely on the Lord for help in defeating this Goliath. Without Him, we can do nothing.

I am the vine; you the branches: he that abideth in Me, and I in him, the same beareth much fruit: for without Me you can do nothing.
~John 15:
