When I heard Unplanned was coming out, I thought, “Cool, another Christian movie.” No exclamation points. I thought it was going to be like every other Christian film. It wasn’t.

I went to the theater last night with my daughter and a couple of friends to watch it. I read Abby’s book and thought it would be neat to see it. I heard the creators of this project did a great job staying close to her story. They did.

I heard that people were bringing tissues in case they cried because abortion is sad and horrific and barbaric. I didn’t feel the need to bring any because I thought I had seen it all, heard it all, and experienced it all. I hadn’t.

This movie moved me in ways I can’t even express. To say the creators of this film did a great job is a complete and utter understatement. I know abortion is wrong. And I know it is evil. The way they wove Abby’s story together with the stories of others is, well, I just don’t have the words. 

After viewing this movie, I am more convinced of the need for prayer warriors to be at every Planned Parenthood and abortion facility across our country. The women entering those facilities need us. They need us to be there for them. They need us to witness to their value and dignity as a human person who needs help.

I know we can’t save them all. But the ones we can save are all worth it. Even if it is just one.
I hope you will spend the time to see this film. If you have been on the pro-life side since you can remember, if you have been pro-life since Christ came into your heart, or if you are pro-choice and wondering what all the fuss is about, you should see this movie.

Abortion advocates want to hide the truth of abortion from us. They have been very successful in doing just that. They tell us it is none of our business, that it’s a private matter between a woman and her doctor.

They.are.wrong.

What are they so afraid of?

Why don’t they want us to know what abortion really is?

Why don’t they want us to talk to these women who are entering these clinics?

What are they trying to hide?

What they are hiding is horrific. It’s messy. It’s bloody. It’s death.

The women who enter these facilities are not being taken care of. They are just another number, another statistic. And so are their babies who are discarded as waste.

This is not a gray matter. This is black and white, America. You either believe that babies are being unjustly murdered or you don’t. There can never be any justification for murder. Ever.

I hope and I pray that whoever is reading this will go see the movie if they haven’t already.
I hope and I pray that whoever is reading this who has already seen the movie, will engage in the fight.

I hope and I pray that whoever is reading this, who goes to the movie and is pro-choice, that this movie changes your heart.
