Rachel mourns for her children; she refuses to be consoled because her children are no more. Thus says the Lord: Cease your cries of mourning. Wipe the tears from your eyes. The sorrow you have shown shall have its reward. There is hope for your future.”

Struggling with infertility?
Want to space your children, but also want a healthier alternative to hormonal birth control and other contraceptive methods?
Natural Family Planning, or NFP, is when a couple uses naturally occurring symptoms of fertility in order to conceive or abstain from having more children. There are no pills, no chemicals, and no hormone shots. The couple is simply educated on the natural rhythms of a woman's fertility. It is a way of life, a mentality that respects the dignity of your partner and does not promote the contraceptive mentality to treat the other as a means to an end. Because the woman learns to read her signs, the couple is able to better understand when conception can happen, therefore increasing their chances of conceiving a baby. Below are some resources you can look into that may help. We also have a couple of local contacts that teach these methods and may be able to help. Sometimes, infertility issues are caused by other medical complications and you may need to seek a doctor that will work with you and your body respectfully. Someone from FACTS, below, may be able to help.
Fertility awareness based methods (FABM's) teach a woman to observe reliable external signs to identify when she may be fertile. These modern methods are well researched and can be utilized effectively to achieve or avoid pregnancy, as well as to identify and address a wide range of women's health issues, such as infertility or hormonal abnormalities. There are many benefits to using FABMs. They are hormone free and have no adverse side effects. A woman can learn to better understand her cycle and monitor her reproductive health. Women can also work with physicians specially trained in FABMs to more effectively diagnose and treat a range of medical issues, such as PMS, painful periods, irregular cycles and infertility. Women and men learn more about their fertility and are empowered to make more informed choices. Visit FACTS to learn more.
